How to List NFT on Magic Eden
Sell your Solana NFT on one of the largest NFT marketplaces.
Magic Eden is a leading marketplace for Solana NFTs. Listing is straightforward: connect your wallet, choose the NFT, set a price, and sign. Here’s the process and what to expect.
Connect Your Wallet
Go to Magic Eden (magiceden.io) and connect your Solana wallet (Phantom, Solflare, Backpack, etc.). Use the same wallet that holds the NFT you want to sell. The site will request a connection; approve it. You may need to switch to Solana if the site supports multiple chains.
Find Your NFT and Click List
Open your profile or “My NFTs” to see the NFTs in your wallet. Select the one you want to sell. Click “List” or “Sell”. You’ll be asked to set a price. Enter the amount in SOL (or the currency Magic Eden shows). Check the displayed fees so you know what you’ll receive after the sale.
Sign the Listing Transaction
Magic Eden will create a listing transaction. You sign it with your wallet. Depending on how the marketplace works, the NFT may stay in your wallet (listing is just a signed offer) or move to escrow. Once the transaction confirms, your NFT appears as listed at your chosen price. Buyers can purchase it; when they do, you get the SOL (minus fees) and the NFT moves to the buyer.
Fees and Best Practices
Magic Eden charges a seller fee (a percentage of the sale). Check their current fee page. Price your NFT with that in mind. You can also accept offers if the platform supports it. For more on selling in general, see our how to sell Solana NFTs and best Solana NFT marketplaces guides.
Frequently Asked Questions
- Is Magic Eden only for Solana?
- Magic Eden has expanded to other chains, but it started on Solana and remains a major Solana NFT marketplace. Make sure you’re on the Solana section when listing.
- Can I list the same NFT on Magic Eden and another marketplace?
- It depends. If listing requires moving the NFT to escrow, it can only be listed in one place at a time. If the marketplace lists without escrow, check their terms; some allow cross-listing.
- How do I cancel a listing?
- Go to your listed NFT on Magic Eden and choose the option to cancel or remove the listing. You may need to sign a transaction. The NFT returns to your wallet if it was in escrow.
- When do I get paid?
- When a buyer completes the purchase, the marketplace executes the swap. You receive SOL (minus fees) to your connected wallet, usually within the same block or shortly after.
